  • The fine art of cooking was enjoyed with demonstrations by Author/Chef Sharon Sanders and an Italian Chef from Vinci, Italy. Demonstrations alternated on the hour beginning at noon.

  • Wildlands Conservancy: Ever wonder how to make a boat that will float? Many constructed their own designs and tested them out.

Flight and Rocketry

  • Blake Shuttle - Parkland School District: Ever wonder what a real rocket ship can do? Tours were held in the Blake shuttle, a ¼ size version of the real space shuttle Challenger
  • Civil Air Patrol: Ever wonder how to make a water rocket? Many built their own water rockets and watched them soar.
  • Nanette Sawyer, Science Teacher: Ever wonder what kinds of machines Leonardo designed? Many used 21st century materials to construct catapults inspired by Leonardo.
  • Young Eagles: Ever wonder how a plane flies? From Leonardo's ideas to modern jets, many explored the theory of flight.

Musical Arts

  • Allentown Symphony: Ever wonder what instrument Leonardo designed? Many made and played their own harp.
  • Martin Guitar: Ever wonder how a guitar makes its sound? Many explored sound production with a guitar builder and player.

Robotics

  • Kinetic Street Art with Frank Lee: Ever wonder how remote controls work? You could have watched a remote control "pod" in action.

Visual Arts

  • Allentown Art Museum: Ever wonder how an artist makes a medallion or a self-portrait? You could have tried your hand with a variety of materials and projects to see what you could create.
  • Baum School of Art: Ever wonder what kind of machine you could invent? Experiments with simple materials were made to develop your own Leonardo-like sculpture/machine.
  • Kathy Burke: Ever drawn on the sidewalk with chalk? Masterpieces were created for all to see!
  • Interactive Portraits with Susan Konuit: Ever wonder who those people are in famous paintings? Many donned costumes and stepped into a masterpiece.
